I woke up this morning with the biggest desire to pick-up and travel. To explore somewhere new, to immerse myself in a new and exciting culture, and to learn about a different way of living. So, of course, this led to nostalgia from past trips. These picture was taken a few years ago on my trip to Turkey. Turkey is such a beautiful place to visit because it is so culturally rich. It’s the perfect blend of the Islamic life-style and the western life-style. Being in a Muslim country, you can hear the call of prayer five times a day, you feel a sense of cohesion in the society, and a sense of intimacy. But it’s also wonderful to know that you have all the freedoms you want…to act and dress how you like. Istanbul provided all these vibes, as well as superb food, amazing architecture, sweet people, and an overall sense of welcome. inshaAllah I hope to go back!
